Ree Drummond’s Croissant French Toast Recipe is an easy breakfast idea
Drummond wrote about her French toast recipe in a 2014 blog post on The Pioneer Woman website. She shared that she wanted to “make something delicious for breakfast” and headed to her fridge where she found croissants that she planned to use for breakfast sandwiches.
“But since I was in the mood for something a little sweet before church, I decided to make French toast instead,” she explained.
“I’ll start the recipe now and spare you all the adjectives that describe how positively sublime this French toast was… but trust me, you’ll want to make it this week,” Drummond noted. “I absolutely and positively loved it.”
After her step-by-step recipe, she shared some adjectives about breakfast. “Just promise me you’ll try soon! Its luscious, dripping, luscious delight will leave you speechless,” she wrote. And enthusiastic. And euphoric.
She added: “Okay, so I used an adjective or two. Or six. But after you take a bite, you’ll see what I mean.”

How to Make Ree Drummond’s Croissant French Toast
Drummond demonstrated how to make the Croissant French Toast recipe on an episode of the pioneer womanwhere he called it “the most amazing super quick breakfast”.
“I’m always looking for really quick and easy recipes to make, not just for dinner, but also for lunch, snacks, and breakfast, of course,” she explained. Drummond said he was preparing one of his “favorite breakfasts, croissant French toast.”
In a bowl, Drummond mixed the eggs, half and half, vanilla, sugar, and cinnamon. “I first made this French toast a while back when I didn’t have bread,” he explained. “I just had some croissants in my fridge that I hadn’t used. I tell you one thing, if you haven’t made French toast with croissants, you’re missing out. It’s so delicious.
She melted butter in a nonstick skillet and cut the croissants in half. Drummond dipped the croissants in the egg mixture. “I don’t want them to be too soggy,” he shared as he quickly soaked them and placed the croissants cut-side down in the pan.
the pioneer woman star cooked the french toast over medium-low heat for a few minutes on the first side, then flipped and let the second side cook for a few more minutes.

‘The Pioneer Woman’ star puts a fruity twist on her easy breakfast
Drummond made an easy-to-serve blackberry syrup on French toast by combining blackberries and sugar in a pan and gently simmering. “We’ll use regular maple syrup as well, but the blackberry syrup really tops it off and makes it even more beautiful,” he said.
The Food Network host made a mixture by combining cornstarch and water and then added it to the berry mixture to thicken it up.
To serve the French toast, Drummond plated it and topped the decadent breakfast with butter, syrup, blackberry syrup, whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
