Mérida yesterday was the host of a regional meeting of the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (Canacintra), whose president, José Antonio Centeno Reyes, led other activities.
Within the framework of the visit of its national leader, the board of directors of the Yucatan delegation of Canacintra met the day before yesterday at the facilities of the Anahuac Mayab University. Later, in the presence of Mayor Renán Barrera Concha, an agreement was signed so that students from that institution can carry out their professional internships in companies affiliated with the Chamber.
With former presidents
Always the day before yesterday, the first day of an intense 48-hour agenda, Centeno Reyes and the president of Canacintra in Yucatan, Jorge Charruf Cáceres, held a breakfast with former presidents of the local delegation.
In an interview, the national president of the industrialists reported that points of view were exchanged at breakfast on the current situation of the industry and the plans of the administration that he heads.
“Afterwards we had the session of the board of directors of the Yucatan delegation at the Anáhuac Mayab University and they offered us a tour of the engineering laboratories,” he added. “Right there we had the session and the council meal with the presence of the mayor of the city.”
Mr. Centeno added that yesterday he participated in the inauguration of the Smart City Expo Latam Congress 2022 event and later held a private meeting with Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal, with whom he discussed general issues of the industry and the State in particular.
Regarding the regional meeting, he explained that yesterday the presidents of the seven Canacintra delegations in the Peninsula gathered in this city: three from Quintana Roo, two from Campeche and one from Yucatan.
As reported, it was a three-hour session in which they addressed diagnostic issues of each of the delegations. Their main needs and how they can help each other by sharing good practices were also discussed.
“Let’s say that it is an internal work exercise to reinforce the representation activity”, he pointed out.
