Extra virgin olive oil has been the protagonist of our culture and our economy for more than 3,000 years. The province of Jaén is the land of olive trees par excellence, thanks to its dry climate and hot summers that allow more than 60 million trees to produce the highly prized olives.

The Castillo de Canena firm has an olive-growing tradition dating back to the end of the 18th century.but it is from 2003 when the Vañó family -owner of the beautiful Renaissance castle that gives the company its name- decides to produce and market Premium EVOO. Its extra virgin olive oils of the Picual, Arbequina and Royal varieties meet numerous international awards.

Recently, and for the fourth consecutive year, the Family Reserve EVOO got the highest score (100/100) from the prestigious guide Flos Oleito the best extra virgin olive oil.
