Pereira, Cosse and Orsi came to the intersection of the Law of Urgent Consideration

This Tuesday several representatives of the Broad Front were present at the ADM working breakfast.

This Tuesday they were present at the working breakfast organized by the Marketing Association of Uruguay (ADM), several representatives of the Broad Front, among them the mayor of Montevideo, Carolina Cosse, the president of the party, Fernando Pereira and the hierarch of Canelones, Yamandu Orsi.

For his part, Cosse stated that in the Urgent Consideration Law (LUC), “there is a common thread, which is the withdrawal of the State. One thing is to be liberal and another thing is to promote the withdrawal of the State”. Along these lines, he argued that “you have to go back” to the “old democratic traditions” where the State was “present”, “for that you have to vote YES”, he said.

The one who also spoke was Orsi, who was very critical in the field of public security and how the government is working in that field. “The issue is being addressed with solutions that are not going to be such,” outlined the Canarian mayor.

He clarified that not all the articles that concern security are going to be repealed, “the majority are going to be maintained,” he said. “We should walk towards a national agreement, that is if it is urgent, sit down at the table,” Orsi closed.

The president of the Broad Front, Fernando Pereira, followed the thread of criticism and went against the Commission for the “NO” and its way of managing the campaign. In this sense he referred to the decision to suspend the debates, “it has become unfeasible to debate with those who made the LUC”, he declared.

“Now they send them to shut up, there is silence, are we not going to be critical?” Pereira detailed. “We get used to shutting our mouths, and it’s not like that,” he closed.
