LeBron James’ NBA-Ready Diet Revealed, Including a Glass of Wine Every Day and Egg Whites in Breakfast Granola

LEBRON JAMES knows what it takes to stay on top.

The 37-year-old Los Angeles Lakers star continues to thrive in the NBA despite entering the final years of his basketball career.

And like any good athlete, LeBron knows that diet is critical to supporting all that hard work in the gym.

The first pick in the 2003 Draft, James has enjoyed two seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers and is an 18-time NBA All-Star.

He’s still in style for the Lakers despite their disappointing season thus far, recently scoring 56 points in an impressive performance to defeat the Warriors.

LeBron uses high interval training to prepare for the energy-draining process of running across a 94-foot court every night.

Getting up at 5 am every day to start his workouts, LeBron combines his core cardio routines with spinning and yoga classes to target every muscle group.

You don’t even need to leave the house, as his Los Angeles mansion is equipped with a full gym, hot tub, and state-of-the-art hyperbaric chamber for oxygen therapy.

And James’ eating habits are slightly different from those of us mere mortals, with the NBA legend nibbling on six smaller meals throughout the day.

Her breakfast usually consists of a high-protein treat, with eggs and avocado reportedly her favorites.

But it’s also suggested that the four-time MVP sometimes needs a real feast to start his day, with mountains of French toast and omelettes on the menu.

LeBron’s personal chef, Dena Marino, prepares anything the superstar desires and revealed how James likes to eat his signature egg white granola.

‘WINE IS GOOD FOR THE HEART’

The daring recipe includes an egg white, various nuts, and a generous drizzle of honey.

Contains 4g protein, 10g carbs, 16g fat, and 200 calories in a delicious half-cup serving.

Throughout the morning and into lunchtime, there is a mid-morning snack followed by chicken, vegetables, and a side of fruit.

Those grueling afternoon workouts don’t feed themselves, with LeBron’s last two meals of the day probably featuring salmon followed by an omelette at night.

You may assume that’s it after a day packed with exercise and superfoods.

But James has a secret weapon up his sleeve: a glass of wine every night.

He revealed to ESPN in late 2021: “I heard [wine is] good for the heart.

“Listen, I’m playing the best basketball of my life and I drink a little bit of wine almost every day.

“Whatever it is, I’ll take it.”

However, former teammate Tristan Thompson told the Athletic that James might not stick to his planned diets as well as he would like us to believe.

He said: “She loves sweets. Eat desserts and French toast. It’s crazy how his body just burns it.”

“He is really a specimen. Eat like shit. I remember one year I tried to eat like he ate and it just didn’t work.”

“I started putting on weight and I was like, ‘Fuck this.’ I mean it works for him.”

James has tried a number of different diets over the years, but appears to have settled on a sensible and balanced plan as he looks to keep playing into his 40s.

In 2014, James said that he lost a ton of weight after following the controversial Keto diet.

Eliminating sugar, carbs and dairy for 67 days straight, the extreme plan dropped the then-Cavalier to around 250 pounds.

He revealed: “It had no sugars, no dairy, no carbohydrates,

“All I ate was meat, fish, vegetables and fruit. That’s it. For 67 days straight.”

James has another year to fulfill his excellent contract with the LA Lakers before being a free agent in 2023.

Despite his advanced years, LeBron appears poised to keep going for a while thanks to a healthy balance of extreme workouts and a sensible diet.
