We celebrate Taco Day, one of the most iconic dishes in the Mexican gastronomy. And there is no need to cross the ocean and travel to Mexico to enjoy some good tacos. In Madrid we have many good restaurants that delight all those Mexicans who live in the capital. Selecting tacos for this day has been easy. These are some of the best.
Mantarraya MX Carabinero Cue
First we tested it on Barracuda, and now it’s on Manta Ray… And it’se has become Roberto Ruiz’s star taco. But besides the carabinero cue We have other options that are also worth it. For example? The Baja California-style crab doubled taco, the grilled octopus tacos with pico de gallo and crispy yucca; duck tacos with pumpkin seed sauce; carnitas tacos with avocado and jalapeño sauce and crispy pork rinds… We could go on, but this is a good selection for taco day.
Tacote Governor of Puntarena
The Casa de México restaurant had to enter this selection of restaurants in which to celebrate on taco day. We have several options, but we have selected these. El Tacote Gobernador with mozzarella, pico de gallo, smoked sword and Mazatlán Sinaloa or the Wagyu Tacos, with Wagyu from La Granja. One of the most interesting options in terms of Mexicans is in Madrid.
Fisher’s Shrimp Taco
Fisher’s restaurant came from Mexico and among its dishes the tacos stand out. They are prepared in a wheat tortilla, avocado, creamy chipotle sauce as well as beans, and incorporate saffron rice fideo. But as the main ingredient there are several options: like lobster or prawns, although the latter also has tempura in a soya leaf with gohan rice, mayonnaise hot spicy and ponzu soybeans. Even though the iconic one is the Fisher’s shrimp taco.
Minister at Sea Bass Taco
It is one of the new additions to Madrid gastronomy. The Mexican in Puerta de Alcalá has an interesting taco menu that is worth noting. Chicken dorados with pasilla sauce, guajillo chili butter, citrus sauce with basil and black beans; loaded rib with mole broth, vegetables with lemon juice and coriander seed; or the most interesting, sea bass with julienne vegetables, guajillo chili butter, citrus sauce with basil and black beans.
