1kg of strawberries
720 grams of sugar
720 grams of orange
1⁄2 cup lemon juice

Step by Step

Step 1. Start by removing the stems from the strawberries, wash them, put them in a bowl and cover them with water. Boil them for an hour, after they break the boil, strain them, passing them through a sieve. You should get 1 liter (4 cups) of liquid.

Step 2. Cut the oranges into slices and each into four, then cover them with water and let them sit overnight at room temperature. The next morning, cook them for 30 minutes after the boil has broken.

Step 3. Strain and combine the liquid from the oranges with that from the strawberries, add the lemon juice and sugar, and cook the jam until it thickens.

Step 4. Put the jam in sterilized jars, close them tightly and cool them upside down. They will keep well for 6 months.
