The city council of Mazatlan held a party with music to celebrate this May 10, in which motorcycles, screens, washers, refrigerators and other household appliances were raffled

In the framework of Mother’s day, the city council of Mazatlán, in Sinaloa, spared no resources and organized an event to celebrate this May 10. With music, lights and entertainment, A raffle was held that included two cars of the year, among dozens of other household items.

The revelry was held at the Community Center of the Tercera Ampliación de Urías settlementwith a kilometric line to enter the fields, because in addition to women and mothers, minors and adults also attended, with the confidence of being one of the winners of the gifts provided by the municipal government.

Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres was present at the event, who took the opportunity to remember the efforts made by his mother after his father died in a car accident when he was a child. “I am proud of the mother I had (…) she gave us the principles and education that today strengthens us like never before,” she said.

In addition to the two vehicles of the year, considered to be the jackpot in the raffle, there were also five motorcycles, as well as washing machines, refrigerators, screens, stoves, fansbeauty products and appliances and other household appliances.

In a video shared on the social networks of the Mazatlan city hall, hundreds of mothers are seen lined up to enter the premises, where they were provided with some tickets to participate in the raffle and as a tasting they were given a tamale. In Torreón, Coahuila, there will also be a musical event for Mother’s Day, in which the regional singer Julión Álvarez will perform in the Plaza Mayor at 8:00 at night to delight Coahuila mothers with their best songs. Access will be from 4:00 p.m. and it is requested to use the mask and keep a healthy distance.

On the other hand, Mexico City was not far behind, as the Banking and Industrial Police of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) offered a breakfast to police women and mothers at the Police Training and Development Center as recognition on their special day.

Before breakfast, the mothers of the Corporation were celebrated with mariachi music, who pleased them with the requested songs. An impersonator also attended, a cake was broken and the The PBI Sinaloense Band charmed the police of the 23 sectors that belong to said Institution with their songs.
