Nutritionist Maily Hernández explains that avocados contain fat, especially the type monounsaturatedwhich help increase HDL, known as good fats, and improve the heart health.

Hernández points out that, although they are monounsaturated fats, they should be consumed with awareness, since they are linked to caloriesenergy intake, the more fat the more calories, which could cause weight gain.

A portion of avocado is equivalent to an eighth of a unit and the one recommended for each person will depend on their needs, emphasizes the specialist.

Cut an avocado in half, remove the bone and with the help of a spoon remove a little of the fruit. Then add an egg and the bacon in the space where the bone was, take it to the oven previously preheated to 220 ºC for 15 minutes.

For this recipe the filling can vary according to your taste, here you can unleash your creativity, use chicken, tuna and even Greek salad to fill the avocado.

avocado toast

This is an excellent option for breakfast or as a snack. You should toast the slices of bread and spread the avocado, previously mashed with a little lemon juice.

There are no limits, you can add whatever you want to the toast, eggs, cheese, tomatoes, bacon, nuts or mushrooms.

For this option you must make a puree with the avocado, season to taste and add olive oil. This is the easiest way to prepare this option, however, you can add other ingredients such as cream cheese or yogurt.

Finally, Hernández comments that this fruit can also be consumed in a shake, not very common in Panama, as a dressing, as a substitute for mayonnaise, and as a topping.
