President Alberto Fernández, together with the ministers of the National Cabinet, began his walk from the Government House to the Metropolitan Cathedral after 10:50 a.m. to participate in the Tedéum for the 212th anniversary of the First National Government.

The religious service was celebrated from 11 by the Cardinal Primate of Argentina and Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Mario Poli.
Earlier Fernández went to the Government House, where shared a breakfast with members of the national cabinet and other officials, with whom he later walked to the Metropolitan Cathedral, official sources indicated. There he took the traditional family photo with his collaborators and took the opportunity to download a message: “The unit depends on us, it is an individual decision of each one of us.”
This It will be the first time that Fernández will attend a Tedeum in person in his capacity as Presidentsince in the first two years of his term the ceremony was held virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
After the ceremony, at 1:30 p.m., the President will share a lunch, consisting of a Creole locro, with workers from the popular economyin a club in the Buenos Aires town of Florencio Varela, the sources commented.
Initially, Fernández had the purpose of traveling to Antarctica, more precisely to the Esperanza base, to lead the May 25 celebrations there, but for climatic reasons he decided to cancel the visit and attend the Metropolitan Cathedral.
