“These are some recipes for shakes that you can take as a breakfast replacement, they have the exact amount of macronutrients (protein, carbohydrate and fat) necessary for a balanced diet that will help you lose weight naturally,” commented Ana María Holguín in interview with Cromos Magazine.

Important: Remember that shakes by themselves will not make you lose weight and therefore you must accompany them with a nutritional plan that covers your daily nutritional requirements associated with changes in your habits such as exercise, hydration and quality sleep.

SHAKES TO LOSE WEIGHT:

1. SMOOTHIE TO LOSE WEIGHT: RED FRUITS SHAKE

Ingredients to prepare red fruit smoothie:

• 1/2 cup frozen blackberries

• 1/2 cup frozen blueberries

• 1 tablespoon of almond cream

• 1 tablespoon chia seeds*

• 2 raw Brazil nuts*

• 1/2 tablespoon coconut oil

• 1/2 cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk

• 1/2 cup of water

2. SMOOTHIE TO LOSE WEIGHT: KIWI – SPINACH AND CHIA SEEDS SMOOTHIE

Ingredients to prepare kiwi, spinach and chia seed smoothie

• 1 kiwi, peeled and cut in half

• 1 cup of spinach or without stem

• 1/2 tablespoon coconut oil

• 4 tablespoons chia seeds*

• 1/2 cup of ice (optional)

• 1 cup of water

3.SHAKE TO LOSE WEIGHT: GINGER AND CUCUMBER SMOOTHIE

Ingredients to prepare ginger and cucumber smoothie

• 1/2 cup of natural almonds*

• 1/2 medium cucumber, peeled and seeded

• 4 tablespoons chia seeds*

• 1 piece of ginger of 1-2 cm, without shell

• 1/4 avocado

• 1 cup of water

4. SMOOTHIE FOR WEIGHT LOSS: STRAWBERRY AND ALMOND SMOOTHIE

Ingredients to prepare almond and strawberry smoothie:

• 1 tablespoon of almond cream

• 1 cup of water

• 1/2 cup fresh or frozen strawberries

• 1/4 avocado

• 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon

• 2-3 ice cubes (Optional)

PREPARATION OF SMOOTHIES TO LOSE WEIGHT

Blend all ingredients in blender on high speed until smooth. Be sure to mix enough water so that the smoothie can be drunk, being careful not to make it too runny (the total liquid should rise 2-3 centimeters above the rest of the ingredients before blending).

*NOTE: You will need to activate the enzymes in the seeds and nuts to aid digestion by doing the following: Fill a bowl with enough water to cover the seeds or nuts and soak for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.
